A hair salon and direct-to-consumer haircare line I founded.

2019–2021

Overview

Good Day started as a hair salon my business partner and I opened in Toronto in 2013, built around a more youthful, modern haircut experience. We extended the brand into a haircare line, sold through our own ecommerce store and retail partners like Urban Outfitters. I led all of the design: brand identity, packaging, the online store, and the art direction across everything.

Branding

Overview

Myself and a business partner started Good Day Hair Salon, in Toronto in 2013, to fill the need for a place to get a more youthful and modern haircut experience. We extended the brand into a house Haircare Line, all geared towards the idea of having a Good Day.

Brand Extension

In addition to the physical salon, we expanded the brand into a haircare line, that was sold through our own ecommerce, as well as retail locations such as Urban Outfitters.

Ecommerce

Overview

Good Day sold direct to customers online, so the store was the heart of the business. I designed the full shopping experience, including product pages, cart, and checkout, for both desktop and mobile.

Role

I designed and built the storefront, focusing on making browsing and buying feel as clean and considered as the brand itself.

Art Direction & Photography

Overview

The brand lived on strong visuals. I art-directed the product and lifestyle photography and designed the marketing that went out across social, email, and campaigns.

Role

I set the art direction, styled and directed the shoots, and produced all the marketing design, keeping a consistent look from packaging to the last ad.
